BLN-3 Blimp

- Our engineering experts chose the exact Blimp size according to the operational requirements. The various models differ in their technical specifications, such as efficient load, working altitude, maximum winds, time of operation, and others
- The Blimp will include the following main components:
- An Envelope made of rip stop nylon and urethane to insure durability
- Helium gas inflation. Using the trailer, the filling process is approximately 8 minutes long
- A winch for launching, landing, and mooring the Blimp
- Mechanical interface for video surveillance platform
- Power and communication interface
Communications
- The uplink communication system contains the ground
and airborne components for transmitting the control signals to the camera. The RF equipment of power and frequency is determined by the operating needs
- The antenna is directional. The matching receiver is mounted on the Blimp
- The downlink communication system contains the ground and airborne components for transmitting and receiving the video signal from the camera. The nominal range of the system will be approximately 3.5 miles
- In order to keep the size of the Blimp as small as possible to enable rapid, simple, and low cost deployment, the airborne electro-optical payload includes either a daylight or night vision camera (single channel payloads are lighter and can be lifted by smaller Blimps)
- All functions are controlled by a micro-computer, which receives commands and sends status messages through a bi-directional serial communication channel (RS-232). The Stabilized Gimbal Assembly is mounted on the carrying Blimp through a mechanical interface that is configured to suit the specific Blimp requirement
Docking Station
- The docking station is a mobile system. It allows launching, operation, and landing of the Blimp system regardless of wind direction
- The winch can be positioned on flat ground without any external stabilization mechanisms
