Service highlights:

• The blimp operates at low altitudes of +/- 500 feet, thereby not interfering with other air operations. The low altitude position of the blimp allows access to observation angles of dense areas as well as better visibility through foggy and cloudy atmospheres
• Crucial video information from the optics can be easily transmitted to all static and mobile command centers. Other TEV applications can provide an online aerial video to field units through their handheld receivers. These platforms can be simply integrated into existing architecture, through its video output, briefcase size remote controls and other standard protocols
• The system units are mobile and can easily be transported between locations and settings, according to operational needs

System overview:

• The blimp was designed with state of the art components to ensure optimum performance and reliability in less desirable weather conditions
• The blimp is held through a winch, by a tether line capable of withstanding the balloon’s pull power
• The airborne electro-optical payload includes a day or night vision camera
• The airborne station and communication platform transmits a video signal from the camera to the ground station and receives control signals from the ground to the camera control module
• The platform is based on either a wired (FO) or wireless connection (RF)
• The winch supports launching, operation, and landing of the blimp, regardless of wind direction
• The control and monitoring ground station allows the operator to fully direct the airborne electro-optical payload. The video signal can be viewed directly on an analog monitor and recorded on a DVD disc / HD.
